Happy Thursday! We have a Kickstarter campaign that ends today…but we will have late pledges open through the weekend.

And we have moved our library to our Lavender Cottage BookShop. This is very new, but we are linking all of our books through BookFunnel (which you can read in their library) but you cannot download the stories to your own e-reader.

We have a FREE Lavender Cottage Membership option, which will allow you to read five stories…and a PAID option, which will access all our books. We really hope this is a new and successful way to share stories as part of our membership - as we also share Works in Progress. Hope you’ll stop by and check it out!

And now, here are the next two chapters of our second Enchanted Fairytale, Spell Bound. Next week will be our final week for this story!

Chapter 29

Trixie made her way around the dance floor and over to the other set of doors. She focused on the guards and whispered, “There’s nothing to see.”

As the guards turned, she slipped quickly past them and into the grand hall. More guards, but a few carefully chosen words and she was past them as well.

Taking the first right, she continued to the stairs at the end of the hall. Remembering the map Oliver had drawn for her, she hurried up the stairs.

As she reached the second floor, a guard said, “Stop right there.”

Hob was still dancing with Felicia, thankful that for once the music had started before the speeches. He smiled as Nora waltzed by with Tim.

“Couldn’t let you two have all the fun,” Nora said.

“Isn’t it wonderful?” Felicia beamed at Nora. “I’ve never danced so much in my life.”

Nora glanced at Hob. “You clean up rather well, don’t you?”

“You don’t look so bad yourself,” Hob replied. “Pink seems to be your color.”

“I would have to agree,” Tim said rather shyly. “You look beautiful, Miss Nora.”

“Oh, Tim. Please call me Nora.” She rolled her eyes. “You had no trouble with me as a cat.”

“Aye, but you look a lot different now, Miss…I mean Nora.” He smiled at Felicia. “Good to see you again, Miss.”

“You too, Tim,” Felicia replied, then gasped as Hob spun her around.

As they waltzed away, Nora smiled. “You two have fun.” Looking at Tim, she added, “You look very handsome tonight.”
